About us

Who We Are

From the heart of the Colombian Caribbean, in Santa Marta, we bring the best of our land: bananas, Hass avocados, and plantains, carefully cultivated by small, medium, and large producers from Magdalena.

We primarily export to Europe, the United States, and Asia, offering conventional, organic, Fairtrade, and organic Fairtrade fruits, all under a strong commitment to quality, sustainability, and fair trade.

Today, we are diversifying our offerings to fully harness the potential of Colombian agriculture, delivering not only fresh fruit but also value-added products that reflect innovation and development.

With every export, we deliver more than just food: we bring the flavor of Colombia and the pride of Magdalena to the world.

Our History

Twenty years ago, we planted a seed with a clear purpose: to bring Magdalena’s bananas to the world and cultivate progress in our region. Since then, every fruit we export is the result of stories of effort, dedication, and love for the Colombian countryside.

C.I. Banasan S.A.S. was founded in Santa Marta, Colombia, born from the vision of a group of entrepreneurs with agricultural tradition and experience. From its beginnings as Bananeros Unidos de Santa Marta, the company embraced the mission of bringing the quality of Magdalena bananas to the world, creating opportunities for small, medium, and large producers in the region.

Today, C.I. Banasan S.A.S. is more than a fruit trading company: we are a family working passionately to ensure the best of our land reaches international markets. We export conventional, organic, Fairtrade, and organic Fairtrade bananas, primarily to Europe, the United States, and Asia, exceeding 14 million boxes annually and establishing ourselves as one of the leading companies in the sector.
